Indian car manufacturers have begun including sunroofs as a necessary feature due to the increased demand for sunroof-equipped models. Major car brands in India now include standard sunroofs in their vehicles, with some even offering them in their base models. You can find several SUVs with regular sunroofs priced below Rs 10 lakh.
Kia Sonet
Kia has introduced some fresh, more affordable models of the Sonet sub-compact SUV. One cool feature they come with is a sunroof. The new versions, known as HTE(O) and HTK(O), were launched by the Korean car manufacturer. You can get your hands on one of these starting at just ₹8.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The Sonet comes in different price ranges, starting at ₹8 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to ₹15.75 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top X-Line version.
Hyundai Exter
The Hyundai Exter now comes with a sunroof starting from the SX variant, which is available from Rs 8.23 lakh. It’s the least expensive SUV in India offering this feature. If you are looking for a sunroof in a model under Rs 10 lakh, you can choose from the SX (O) and SX(O) Connect variants, as well as the Knight edition models of these three variants. The Exter is equipped with an 83hp, 114Nm 1.2-liter, four-cylinder NA petrol engine, and also offers an optional CNG powertrain.
Tata Punch
Starting from the Accomplished S variant, the Tata Punch comes with a sunroof, and the prices kick off at Rs 8.35 lakh. You’ll also see this feature available in the Accomplished Dazzle S model, priced at Rs 8.75 lakh, and the Creative S version, which starts at Rs 9.30 lakh. The Punch is powered by a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 86hp and 113Nm of torque, and there is an option for CNG as well.
Tata Altroz
The Tata Altroz is the cheapest car in India that offers an electric sunroof. You can get it from the XM S model, which starts at Rs 7.45 lakh. If you’re looking for other models with this feature under Rs 10 lakh, you can consider the XM+S, XZ+S, XZ+S Lux, and XZ+ (O) S. The Altroz gives you a choice of engines, including 1.2-litre NA petrol, petrol-CNG, 1.5-litre diesel, and 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (Altroz Racer) options.
Mahindra XUV 3XO
The Mahindra XUV 3OO now offers a single-pane sunroof starting from the MX2 Pro model, with prices starting at Rs 8.99 lakh. You can also find a single-pane sunroof on the MX3 (Rs 9.49 lakh) and MX3 Pro (Rs 9.99 lakh) models, all priced under Rs 10 lakh. If you’re looking for something extra, the higher variants come with a panoramic sunroof, a first in its segment. When it comes to engine options, the XUV 3OO gives you a choice between a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol, a 1.2-liter direct-injection turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine.
