Citroen Basalt Coupe SUV Prices Disclosed Across All Variants
Citroen India has announced the prices for each variant of the Citroen Basalt SUV coupe. The SUV’s prices range from Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 13.62 lakh. If you opt for the turbo-petrol engine, prices start from Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Moreover, the highest Max trim allows you to choose dual-tone colors for an extra Rs 21,000.
The Basalt bookings kicked off on August 9, requiring a payment of Rs 11,001. Test drives began today. When you look at other midsize SUVs like the Creta and Grand Vitara, priced between Rs 11 lakh and over Rs 20 lakh for top models, the Citroen Basalt stands out as quite a competitive option.

Citroen Basalt: Features
The Basalt model keeps the dashboard layout of the C3 Aircross but enhances it with shaped rear headrests and adaptable thigh support for backseat passengers, a unique feature in its class. You’ll find a spacious 470-liter boot. Noteworthy features consist of a 10.2-inch touchscreen entertainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, adjustable under-thigh support for rear passengers, stylish 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and air vents in the rear.
The new Citroen Basalt SUV Coupe prioritizes your safety. It’s loaded with six airbags, electronic stability control, a rear parking camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and other top-notch safety features to keep you protected on the road. There are five simple colors to choose from: Polar White, Steel Grey, Platinum Grey, Cosmo Blue, and Garnet Red. If you pick white or red, you can even get a sleek black roof to go with it.
Citroen Basalt: Powertrains
When it comes to the engines, the Basalt gives you two choices. You can go for a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 81 horsepower and 115 Nm of torque. Alternatively, there’s a more potent 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine that cranks out a robust 108 horsepower and 195 Nm of torque in manual mode or 205 Nm in automatic mode. The naturally aspirated petrol engine pairs with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the turbo-petrol engine offers either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
