Let’s compare the exterior and interior designs of the 5-Door Mahindra Thar Roxx and the Mahindra Thar 3-Door
In India, Mahindra has introduced the Thar Roxx, priced from Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 20.49 lakh for the top-spec AX7L 4×2 model. The company plans to reveal the prices for the 4×4 versions before October 2. The Thar Roxx features a fresh front design and upscale interior and exterior elements compared to the standard Thar. Let’s explore the distinct appearance of the Thar Roxx compared to the Thar 3-door.
The Thar Roxx is much bigger in every way: 443mm longer, 50mm wider, up to 79mm taller, and with a 400mm longer wheelbase. These changes mean there should be more room inside the Roxx 5-door model, which can comfortably fit five passengers.
Dimensions | Mahindra Thar Roxx 5-Door | Mahindra Thar 3-Door |
Length | 4428 mm | 3985 mm |
Width | 1870 mm | 1820 mm |
Height | 1923 mm | 1844-1855 mm |
Wheelbase | 2850 mm | 2450 mm |
The Thar Roxx maintains a similar design to the 3-door Thar but with a few distinct changes and a larger size. One key change you’ll see is the sharp shape of the C-pillar. Additionally, there are two more doors for the second row. What’s more, the Thar Roxx provides a roomy 644-liter boot space, a big improvement from the impractical boot area in the Thar 3-Door version.
It’s fascinating how the Roxx is anticipated to perform just as well, if not better, off-road compared to the 3-door. The 5-door version keeps up with similar water-wading depth, approach, and departure angles. With the longer wheelbase, the ramp-over angle has increased. This improvement reduces the chance of teetering on uneven terrain.
