MG Windsor EV Hints at Luxury with 15.6-inch Big Touchscreen & Digital Instrument Cluster
MG Motor India has been gradually revealing information about its new Windsor EV set to hit the market on September 11. This five-seater electric vehicle offers a roomy interior, specifically designed for enhanced comfort in the back seats due to its electric vehicle foundation. In the most recent sneak peek, the company assured us that the Windsor EV would include a large 15.6-inch entertainment display, along with other exciting features.
MG Windsor EV: Interior and Features
As shown in the video, the Windsor EV comes with a large 15.6-inch touchscreen system similar to the global-spec Windsor EV model. This impressive touchscreen includes features like Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. You’ll also spot some cool features like horizontally placed air vents and a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel with controls for the entertainment system.
The Windsor boasts a super spacious panoramic glass roof and a comfy three-passenger rear seat with adjustable headrests and seat belts, 18-inch alloy wheels, and fully LED lighting for the top variant, MG even mentions that the back seat can recline all the way to 135 degrees. Also, you can expect extras like a rear center armrest and fancy leather seats with quilt-like stitching. On the safety side, the Windsor EV might come with top-notch stuff like a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, ABS with EBD, parking sensors at the front and back, and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
MG Windsor EV: Powertrain
The Windsor EV gives you a choice between two battery sizes: 37.9kWh and 50.6kWh. It also features a 134bhp electric motor mounted on the front axle. With the smaller 37.9kWh battery, the global-spec Windsor EV can reach up to 360km, while the larger battery extends that range to 460km.
MG Windsor EV: Expected Price
MG Motor India is launching its very first Intelligent CUV and the latest electric vehicle, the Windsor EV. This electric crossover is essentially a rebranded version of the Wuling Cloud EV that is available internationally. The MG Windsor EV is all set to hit the market on September 11, with an expected starting price of Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
