Tata, Hyundai, Kia, and MG Gear Up for Festive Season with Exciting New Models

During festive seasons like Yugadi, Dasara, and Deepavali, Indian consumers tend to prioritize purchasing new vehicles. This leads many automobile manufacturers to introduce new cars, bikes, and other commercial vehicles to attract customers to their showrooms. With the upcoming Deepavali festival, various car manufacturing companies are releasing their latest models.

Tata Nexon CNG

Tata Motors recently presented the Nexon iCNG at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Soon, prices for this CNG-powered compact SUV will be revealed. This model is unique as it will be the first to come with a turbocharged engine straight from the factory. Additionally, Tata Motors plans to offer both manual and AMT automatic gearbox choices for the Nexon.

Aside from the double-cylinder CNG kit, some badges, and a distinct blue color, the Nexon CNG model will look just like the regular one. Similar to Tata’s other CNG cars, the Nexon iCNG will come in various versions and is expected to cost around Rs 1 lakh more than the comparable petrol version. Currently, the Nexon petrol model is priced from Rs 8 lakh to 13.35 lakh.

Tata is planning to provide you with three engine choices for their Curvv model: two 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engines and one 1.5-liter diesel engine. Each of these engines will have a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission option, with a standard 6-speed manual transmission. They are also thinking about introducing a CNG model a bit later.

The higher-end Curvv models are likely to come with all the features found in the top-of-the-line Curvv EV, except for the electric car-specific components like the Arcade. ev app suite. The prices for the Tata Curvv petrol and diesel models are set to be revealed on September 2. It’s anticipated that the coupe-SUV will fall within the price range of Rs 10 lakh to 22 lakh.

MG Windsor

MG Motor India is gearing up to unveil its latest creation, the Windsor EV, on September 11. This upcoming model has been giving us sneak peeks and was even spotted during testing. It boasts a spacious 4.3-meter design with a generous amount of glass which gives it a unique look combining the features of a hatchback and an MPV. Inside, this 5-seater will offer luxurious reclining rear seats, a sleek dashboard featuring a floating infotainment touchscreen, digital dials, a panoramic sunroof, and rear AC vents.

MG Windsor

The MG Windsor is also known as the Wuling Cloud. It offers two battery options: a 37.9kWh and a 50.6kWh battery pack. The claimed ranges for these are 360km and 460km, respectively. The expected price for the Windsor is between 16 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.

Hyundai Alcazar facelift

Hyundai is gearing up to share the pricing details for the upgraded Alcazar model on September 5. Bookings are already open, and they have given us a peek at both the outside and inside designs. Although the Alcazar shares some similarities with its smaller counterpart, the Creta, it also boasts some distinctive features like the H-patterned DRLs, the H-shaped tail-lights with a light bar, and brand-new 18-inch alloy wheels. Hyundai has also assured us of more equipment, including connected car technology and an ADAS suite.

The Hyundai Alcazar facelift model offers two engine options just like its previous version. The 1.5-liter petrol engine delivers high performance and comes paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Additionally, the 1.5-liter diesel engine provides excellent mileage and is coupled with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. The new Alcazar will be priced higher than the previous model, ranging from Rs 16.78 lakh to 21.28 lakh.

Kia Carnival

Even though Kia India revealed the fourth-gen Carnival at Auto Expo 2023, they are now set to release an updated version of the MPV that was first seen globally late last year. The new Carnival is bigger than the previous model, has a tougher appearance, and has a simple interior design, featuring two standout 12.3-inch displays. While the MPV is available in 7, 9, and 11-seat setups in other countries, the specific configuration for the Indian market has not been officially announced yet.

Kia is bringing in the new Carnival as a CBU, priced at around Rs 50 lakh. They also intend to start putting it together locally next year. The latest carnival has been released globally and offers various engine options like the 3.5-liter petrol, 1.6-liter petrol-hybrid, and 2.2-liter diesel engines. Before, the older Carnival in India only had a 2.2-liter diesel engine with an automatic transmission. This trend might carry over to the new model too.
